If you are using Outlook 2016 or 2013

• •  Click File, then Info, then Account Settings.
• •  Inspect the Type column to see if you use POP or IMAP.

If you are using Outlook 2010 or 2007

• •  Click on your mailbox, then Account Properties, then Account Settings.
• •  Inspect the Type column to see if you use POP or IMAP.

If you are using Apple Mac Apple Mail

• •  In the application menu, click Mail, and select Preferences.
• •  Select the Accounts tab.
• •  Select your email account.
• •  Under Account information inspect the Type to see if you use POP or IMAP.

If you are using Apple Mac Outlook 2016 or 2011

• •  Click Tools, then Accounts, then select your email account in the list on the left.
• •  In the details pane on the right, directly beneath the name of the account, inspect the Type entry to see if you use POP or IMAP.
